James Oakley started sailing when he was 9 years old on the South Coast of England. Progressing through the racing and instructor courses at the local sailing school he tried his hand at Windsurfing, which eventually led him to enter national and European races. James placed in the top ten over several different years in the Windsurfing World Championships. After college James ran Club Mistral Windsurfing Centre in Barbados.
James eventually joined the Royal Marines in the landing craft branch. During his military tenure James specialized as a physical training instructor gaining experience in planning and implementing military training camps all over Europe, he focused primarily on outdoor activities such as sailing, windsurfing, diving, skiing and cycling.
James is a qualified RYA Yacht master and PADI Dive master. Let James share with you his passion for diving and share the tranquility of sailing in paradise.
Originally growing up in Yorkshire, England, Christine worked in the UK health care system. This training provided a solid foundation in serving and caring for others. Christine later studied at Asburton College of Cooking and after many years of cooking experience she offers a spectacular variety of dishes onboard.
Christine and James have been sharing their adventures together for the past 6 years. Christine has fine tuned her skills in yachting, diving, skiing, cycling, climbing and paragliding.
Christine is now an accomplished PADI Advanced Diver and boat handler. Her diving has taken her From France to Egypt and now the Caribbean. This experience combined with her hospitality skills and boundless energy gives her the ability to spoil her guests with creative dishes while offering warm personal service making your stay on Toucan Play a memorable one. |
